fishnet frenzy

i stand by this statement

fishnets CAN be fashionable

(when worn with the appropriate dress)

and i own several pairs in black and nude. 

i admit, they don't get a lot of wear, 

especially in the office, so when i wore them yesterday, 

it seemed to stir the senses

(if you know what i mean!)

what's your take on this fishnet frenzy?

stilettos and strawberries

i am a heels-wearing girl. 

at 5'4", i need all the height help i can get!

my preferred heel is a wedge 

(no sinking into grass, no teetering on cobblestones or poorly-paved parking lots!)

don't get me wrong, i LOVE my flip-flops, but when the sweet mFw at http://prissyandpreppyflamingo.blogspot.com/ bestowed the stiletto award to me, i was so honored. not just because i can't live without my heels, but because of what it means (according to the award)

as for strawberries... i love them, too!

today is the day of our town's annual strawberry festival, and i'm taking muffy!

the downtown will be themed out with the delicious red berry...for sale in pints 

and my highlight: the shortcake!

the maxi dress seems to be everywhere right now...

in fact, i just got an email from lilly today featuring this beauty

i actually bought my first maxi a few years ago, it was a patchwork lilly halter, and although i liked the print, i didn't love it on me.

so i tried again.

got this linen watercolor one on saturday, along with another strapless printed one in silk. both nice, very greek-goddess looking paired with my gold gladiators. 

and good-to-go with a cute little shrug or wrap.

but why can i not help feeling that i look completely prego when i wear this style?

i love lilly so much, and usually become very upset
when someone tries to steal her look, becuase let's face it...
1) you could NEVER really do it and
2) i want, and want muffy to have, the real deal!
i mean who could compete with this?
