happy anniversary

nine years ago today

i was a bride

he was a groom

and we were the wedding couple

happy anniversary to us!

school picture day

today is muffy's school picture day

i rolled her hair in spongy pink curlers last night

then put out the monogrammed corduroy jumper 

and big bow i had been planning on her wearing for almost a year

let's just hope the end result and the 

overpriced pre-paid picture package 

resembles this sweet picture i took this morning!

first days

there has been a lot of excitement at my house

 with muffy's kindergarten orientation

 muffy and her bff

and first day

 can you believe she is the TALLEST in her class?

she was so excited, but the heat got the best of her and, 

(bless her heart) 

she threw up after lunch and 

daddy had to pick her up in the nurses' office!

the poor kindergarten teacher: 

one kid stuck a pencil in his eye, 

muffy went home sick and 

another little girl cried the entire day.

i'm hoping today went a LOT better!

muffy and i went the boston children's museum for their newest exhibit

i figured she needed all the practice she could get!

 there was a reading area

an audio/visual area

(books on tape for you and me!)

a science center
(something to do with magnets)

an art center

circle time center

and even an interactive school bus with 

real vinyl stick-to-your-little-legs seats

she absolutely loved it!

today we are going for kindergarten orientation 

and meet the teacher this morning,

a noon-time picnic on the lawn and a 

meet-and-greet the after-school teachers from 430 to 6. 

whew! a full day of school for us all.

the official day is thursday....lots of posing for her tomorrow!
