boston birthday weekend

well the prep family had a wonderful overnight into our city of boston

and mr prep was very surprised about his baseball themed birthday!

after we checked in, we completely ditched my original plans of walking around downtown, and hopped the T (subway) to cambridge to walk around.

it was beautiful around the harvard campus, and harvard square and we just took our time window shopping, listening to music and watching street artists.

we went to this cute little children's book shop for muffy

and had dinner here

and desert at this wonderful chocolate shop called Burdicks,

they are famous for their 

little chocolate mice with satin ribbon tails!

then onto play at the public garden and back to the hotel for a swim

sunday morning started out with a walk to the garden again, 

 then the T to Fenway Park

the tour was amazing and we got to see so many things and learn all about the history, the players and the park itself. whether you're a red sox fan or not, this is a must -- and for the low price of $12, it's a great deal!

it is only an hour train ride back to our house,

but someone couldn't wait to take a nap!
