it's pink and green thursday! (yay!)
please play along with me (and trish, the fabulous pink and green lilly-lover herself over at http://pinkpreppylillylover.blogspot.com/)
my theme this week is carnival, or depression-era, glass.
most of the glass was in this lovely pink, or a similarly popular peachy pink.
my mother-in-law, an amazing collector and antiques lover, has an entire built-in in her formal living room filled with peachy pink carnival glass. i love to admire it every time we visit.
I love the pressed glass! I would love to find a full set!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! What prep wouldn't love pink and green glass?

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! My granparent's worked most of their lives at a glass company and seeing these reminds me of them and all of the pieces from them that we used to have growing up!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I ADORE depression era glass! I have a super pretty green glass vase that I found in an antique store here that I just love!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love historical era things! Your comment on my blog was fascinating! You really must post a picture of the dress that was a look a like of Jackie Os! Hope you had a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteHi there sweet friend, how are you this week? Getting so excited for your trip to Chicago I am sure! Hope you had a most wonderful Pink & Green Thursday, your post is GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI must have been thinking of you last weekend and I didn't even know it! We were down in coastal southern Maryland and I was popping in and out of all of these really charming antique shops. I kept being drawn to all their pink and green depression glass, and couldn't explain why! I just kept picking it up, looking at the different pieces, admiring the vibrant colors, unbelievable right? How is that for kindred spirits!
Each of your pictures is so pretty and unique, I love the first one and the idea of mixing the glass in with other vintage china pieces and silver bowls. The pitcher/glass sets are wonderful too, perfect for tea (or how about sangria!) Love the little short vintage pink champagne glasses, my mother in law has a lot from her mother, and we used them at my bridal shower. So sweet. Lots of pink and green hugs to you and Muffy!! xox
