the maxi dress seems to be everywhere right now...
in fact, i just got an email from lilly today featuring this beauty
i actually bought my first maxi a few years ago, it was a patchwork lilly halter, and although i liked the print, i didn't love it on me.
so i tried again.
got this linen watercolor one on saturday, along with another strapless printed one in silk. both nice, very greek-goddess looking paired with my gold gladiators.
and good-to-go with a cute little shrug or wrap.
but why can i not help feeling that i look completely prego when i wear this style?
Ohhhh nice choice!!! Very pretty! :) I always feel a little pregnant when I wear these too!! Also when I wear a baby doll shirt. They are comfy though!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, but I feel your pain about making maxis work for you. I have one Lilly one that's fantastic, but otherwise everything else I've ever tried totally looks like I'm trying to hide a baby bump or something. Just not the best style for me. At all.
ReplyDeleteXoXo.
Pretty dress! Love the linen, I am sure that will be beautiful on you on a warm summer day, and I love how you paired it with the gold gladiators, just perfect. I could never get away with a maxi, it just doesn't work on me at all. I am sure you look gorgeous in yours! XOXO!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty print on the dress you bought! I have been very anti-maxi dress (on myself) up until recently...but lately I've been thinking of giving them a try (if I can find one made for shorter girls)! Definitely want one that feels greek goddess-esque!
ReplyDeleteI love maxi dresses! Though I am with you on the preggo thing, they are just too comfy to not at least wear a few times in the Summer.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I do feel like I look a little preggers in them. But the good thing is, when you actually are pregnant, they're perfect! Haha! They seriously are so comfy though!
ReplyDeleteThat's a style that can very pretty on others, but since I'm only 5'2, I would look ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the idea of the maxi, but I can't quite like them on myself. I know exactly what you mean! (But there is no way you could ever look pregnant, no matter what the style is Miss Pink Prep!)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about looking pregnant, I can't wear maxis either. I love to show off my legs so I'm a miniskirt kind of girl!
ReplyDeleteI just got my first maxi, but haven't worn it yet. Love the watercolor one!
