to the max

the maxi dress seems to be everywhere right now...

in fact, i just got an email from lilly today featuring this beauty

i actually bought my first maxi a few years ago, it was a patchwork lilly halter, and although i liked the print, i didn't love it on me.

so i tried again.

got this linen watercolor one on saturday, along with another strapless printed one in silk. both nice, very greek-goddess looking paired with my gold gladiators.
and good-to-go with a cute little shrug or wrap.

but why can i not help feeling that i look completely prego when i wear this style?

  1. Ohhhh nice choice!!! Very pretty! :) I always feel a little pregnant when I wear these too!! Also when I wear a baby doll shirt. They are comfy though!!

  2. Love the dress, but I feel your pain about making maxis work for you. I have one Lilly one that's fantastic, but otherwise everything else I've ever tried totally looks like I'm trying to hide a baby bump or something. Just not the best style for me. At all.

    XoXo.

  3. Pretty dress! Love the linen, I am sure that will be beautiful on you on a warm summer day, and I love how you paired it with the gold gladiators, just perfect. I could never get away with a maxi, it just doesn't work on me at all. I am sure you look gorgeous in yours! XOXO!!!

  4. Such a pretty print on the dress you bought! I have been very anti-maxi dress (on myself) up until recently...but lately I've been thinking of giving them a try (if I can find one made for shorter girls)! Definitely want one that feels greek goddess-esque!

  5. I love maxi dresses! Though I am with you on the preggo thing, they are just too comfy to not at least wear a few times in the Summer.

  6. I agree, I do feel like I look a little preggers in them. But the good thing is, when you actually are pregnant, they're perfect! Haha! They seriously are so comfy though!

  7. That's a style that can very pretty on others, but since I'm only 5'2, I would look ridiculous.

  8. I LOVE the idea of the maxi, but I can't quite like them on myself. I know exactly what you mean! (But there is no way you could ever look pregnant, no matter what the style is Miss Pink Prep!)

  9. I know what you mean about looking pregnant, I can't wear maxis either. I love to show off my legs so I'm a miniskirt kind of girl!
